Is one of the major industries which will be effecting future of Pakistan. In 2016 government has waved off sale tax on laptops and personal computer. Government is willing to provide more incentives to industry to flourish and to discourage smuggling in industry. Government wants to increase number of genuine imports so the price should be managed for consumers.  Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar Khan has said the government is ready to incentivize the local computer industry in view of the growing demand and use of computers, laptops and notebooks in the country.

While talking to the delegation in FBR house he shares government interest in computer industry delegation leader chairman computer association Munawar Iqbal registered his request to provide more incentives and brief policy which should support the industry and consumer both. Affordable price is the key to provide access to personal computers and laptops to every Pakistani. If government backup industry local assembling of computers can contribute more to economy and illegal channels of imports will be discouraged.

Haroon Akhtar Khan closed discussion on asking for proposals from association then government will facilitate them with a new policy according to accepted proposals. In next few month Computer Association of Pakistan will file proposals for more incentives and policy for the industry.
